    670020 - Intro to Pickleball

Pickleball is a fun sport that combines many elements of badminton, tennis and ping-pong. It is played on a badminton-sized court, 20' x 44' with wooden paddles, a wiffle ball and a net that is lowered to 34". Players volley the ball back and forth to try to score on the opposition. It was designed to be easy to learn for people of all ages and athletic abilities. In the past 10 years the growth of Pickleball has exploded mainly in senior communities throughout the United States.

Open play: Tuesdays at 6:00pm, Thursdays at 6:00pm and Sundays at 6:00pm at Jackson Street Park.

Learn to play: The best way to learn pickleball is to take lessons from a USAPA Ambassador. Basic pickleball instruction includes introducing rules, scoring, serving, dinks and volleys. Participants should wear tennis shoes and bring water; equipment will be provided.

    For ages 50+.
